Abot Bitgert:

Bitgert is a blockchain project that aims to provide innovative solutions in the cryptocurrency space. It is a crypto-engineering organization that has developed several blockchain-based products across decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and the metaverse. The project’s goal is to leverage blockchain technology to solve problems and improve the quality of users’ lives.

The Bitgert ecosystem is primarily based on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), but it has also developed its own blockchain called the Bitgert or Brise Chain. The Bitgert blockchain claims to handle over 100,000 transactions per second with zero transaction costs. This high-speed, free-to-use blockchain has drawn attention from investors and has been the subject of both interest and controversy.

Bitgert was initially launched as an app on the Binance Smart Chain in July 2021 under the name Bitrise. In December 2021, it underwent rebranding but continued to operate on BSC without affecting its native token, which has the ticker BRISE.

In February 2022, Bitgert introduced its own blockchain network using a “proof of authority” (PoA) validation mechanism. This new network, referred to as Bitgert or Brise Chain, positions itself as a platform with zero gas fees and the capacity to process up to 100,000 transactions per second. If these claims hold true, Bitgert would be one of the fastest blockchains, second only to Aptos with its capability of up to 160,000 transactions per second.

Although Bitgert promotes itself as a “zero gas fee” chain, there are indeed small transaction fees involved in using the blockchain. These fees, known as gas fees, are typically fractions of a cent per transaction and are paid in the BRISE token.

BRISE is the native cryptocurrency of the Bitgert Chain. It was initially launched as a token on the Binance Smart Chain when Bitgert was still known as Bitrise. However, when Bitgert introduced its own blockchain, BRISE became the native cryptocurrency on the network. The project has implemented a buyback program to repurchase BSC-based BRISE tokens and replace them with the BRISE version native to the Bitgert Chain.

BRISE serves multiple purposes within the Bitgert ecosystem. It can be used for staking and paying gas fees on the Bitgert Chain. Additionally, BRISE is utilized within decentralized applications (dApps) connected to the platform, such as the Bitgert DEX, which facilitates swaps. Stakers can earn BUSD rewards through BRISE staking, although the source of these rewards and the long-term sustainability of the staking mechanism are uncertain. Transacting in the BRISE token incurs an automatic 12% tax, which is returned to the project.
